Dr. Virpal Thiara will take you through a complete skin assessment and address your chief concerns. She will then recommend a series of treatments including one or a combination of our three skin rejuvenation treatments, Agnes RF, Scarlet RF and NeoGen PSR.
There are steps you can take prior to your treatment to ensure optimal results.
- Drink lots of water to be well hydrated
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks prior
- Use sunscreen of at least SPF 30 on all areas you are having treated
- Avoid retinol-based products and tretinoin products at least 1 week prior
- Avoid exfoliating treatments and at-home exfoliators at least 1 week prior
Each skin rejuvenation procedure usually takes about 45 to 60 minutes for the full face or about 10 minutes for a smaller targeted area.
Dr. Thiara and the Haven Med Spa team will go over treatment time with you during your consultation.
Dr. Thiara will assess your skin during your consultation. Depending on the treatment area, the condition of your skin and the results you’re seeking, we will recommend between one to six treatments.
Your post-treatment recovery will depend on the strength of the technology we use to get the results you’re looking for. With Scarlet RF, you will see little to no redness and no downtime whatsoever. Agnes RF may cause some slight bruising in the treatment area. After a NeoGen PSR treatment, you may see some redness on your skin, and you may want to limit your social contact for a few days. Many patients peel significantly for several days after the treatment.
Your skin may feel quite dry for several days following your treatment. Be prepared to keep your skin well hydrated with a barrier cream and make sure you drink lots of water. You should avoid exposure to the sun for several days following treatment. If you must be out in the sun, wear sunscreen of at least SPF 50. Dr. Thiara and the Haven Med Spa staff will recommend a course of skin care products if necessary.
Agnes is a minimally invasive radiofrequency (RF) device that delivers precise, micro-insulated needles that help RF energy penetrate the skin. RF is a safe form of energy that can improve cosmetic concerns by gently bulk heating the skin. This thermal energy increases the production of collagen and elastin, restructures the way that collagen sits in the skin, and encourages cell turnover. The result is firmer, tighter and more youthful-looking skin.
The Agnes RF device was initially created to treat stubborn undereye bags caused by stress, aging or genetics. Agnes is a versatile device that can improve several concerns, including acne, puffy lower eyelid pads, wrinkles, scars, enlarged pores, undereye bags, sagging skin and uneven skin texture.
Scarlet RF uses bipolar radio frequency (RF) technology delivered via microneedles to coagulate dermal collagen and elastin fiber in skin. This rejuvenates existing dermal fibers while also producing new collagen and elastin fibers, which tightens and improves the texture and appearance of your skin.
Scarlet RF is safe for all skin colors. Since the technology uses electric signals, it does not damage any native skin pigment, making it safe for everyone. Scarlet RF was originally cleared by the FDA for scalp skin tightening, face skin tightening and lifting, double chin, neck and body skin tightening. It is also clinically shown to improve rosacea, acne vulgaris, melasma and mottled telangiectasia. Scarlet RF improves skin texture, pores, photo-aging, scars and striae.
NeoGen Plasma Skin Regeneration controls heat on the skin to create a physiological response without the skin needing to be opened. It is a non-ablative procedure and has neither a charring time for treatment nor a burning off of the skin surface. The unique technology renders nitrogen gas into plasma energy to heat the tissue and treat the entire skin architecture. There are no open wounds because NeoGen uses your skin as a natural barrier to protect the underlying skin layer.
